Captain Chinyere Kalu was the first ever female Nigerian pilot to fly plane commercially in Nigeria. Captian Chinyere is presently the rector of the prestigious Nigerian College of Aviation Technology that is situated in zaria, Kaduna state. Mrs Kalu in a recent interview stated that she went into flying because of passion she had for it. In those days when flying a plane was exclusively reserved as a man’s profession, Chinyere made the decision to break the jinx of the opposition parents had about sending their female children to flying the iron bird. For almost 35 years now, Mrs Chinyere
has flying planes and recently stated that she is fulfilled been the first female to fly plane in Nigeria. My advice? Young ladies what other mentor do you need than this great amazon. I hope in the nearest feature we will have thousands of young Nigerian girls going into piloting.
