Major Kaduna Nzeogwu Chukwuma

Major Kaduna Nzeogwu was a young military officer who championed the infamous coup that led to the killing of the Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Western Premier, the Prime Minister, a minister in 1966. An ibo by tribe, Nzeogwu got his name “Kaduna” from his northern collogues. Before joining the Nigerian Army, Nzeogwu attended the famous military school in sandhurst, England. This young officer was the brainchild behind the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps and the first officer
in Nigeria to hold the post of FSS. Major Kaduna Nzeogwu was arrested after the failure of his coup in 18TH January 1966. Quite ambitious, I guess! He was certainly the first rebellious officer Nigeria ever had…
