Banking History In Nigeria
The Nigerian central bank was established in 1958 by the
central bank of Nigeria act. The CBN became operational on 1st July 1958.
The main aim of the CBN as duly stated in the 1958 act was primarily to
maintain Nigeria’s external reserve, ensure stability of its monetary policies
by providing great financial space to the banking sector and regulate the
activities of other banks with Nigeria.
Before the establishment of the central bank in 1958,
banking activities in Nigeria was hugely uncontrolled. An investigation in 1948
to ascertain the banking and financial dealings in Nigeria was conducted by G.O

The Nigerian passport is a travel document which every Nigeria must obtain before he or she can travel outside the country. It is like a small note book and is normally issued by the passport office of the immigration office under the ministry of internal affairs. It contains all the details or particulars of the owner. such as particular includes the full name of owner, his or her date and place of birth, his or her photograph and type of work he or she does. The Nigerian passport can be owned by a man and his wife. In such a case, the photographs and other particulars of the man and his wife are all inserted in the passport, the name; sex and date of birth of all the children are also inserted.

Before Nigeria fully returned to democracy there were few registered political parties in existence. However, before the 1999 Nigerian general election there sprung up several political parties that were registered to participate in the general election. The Federal Republic of Nigerian have had great leaders in the past who ruled but passed away while still holding the position as either the president or the head of state. The earliest form of terracotta sculptures were produced by the Nok people who lived in the central region of Nigeria. Nok sculptures were found in Nigeria in early 1000BC and completely disappeared without any known means in 300AD in the West Africa region. The culture was known to be one of the earliest art culture in the sub Sahara Africa. An English archeologist Lt Colonel Dent Yong led a tin mining excavation in 1928 in a small village called Nok in the present plateau state during which a miner dug clay terracotta of a small head of a monkey.
